YOU ARE ENOUGH

I love that phrase, “You are enough”, it speaks to our insecurities, our inner critic, the part of us that is always comparing ourselves to others and finding ourselves wanting. But why wouldn’t we be enough?

Many of us spend large portions of our lives wishing we were more. More artistic, more intelligent, more interesting. We are rarely satisfied with ourselves. But we should be because we are in fact UNIQUE. There is no one else exactly like us. No one who thinks or sees the world exactly the way we do.

In every other part of life, anything that is “one of a kind” is highly valued. It is special, rare, sought after. Can we not see ourselves this way? Then we can appreciate others and ourselves as the unique individuals we are.

The wisdom traditions of the world tell us that we have the divine spark within us. We are perfect, whole and complete. By just “being”, we are enough. There is nothing to prove. So celebrate your individuality, your originality. There is no one just like you!
